Coral Matters

Important to revive.

Important to life.

Important to the planet.

“Coral Reefs make up less than 1% of the ocean yet provide habitat and food for 40% of ocean life. Dying reef systems are important. It’s easy to ignore and carry on with our lives of overconsumption. I was like that. I was a total consumer. I bought, traveled, and consumed extensively with little thought about it. In short, I was careless in the extreme. Then I learned. All the lights were ignited in my tiny brain. The shift had happened.”

Every organization has a reason for it’s existence. We have one very big reason.

The Ocean.

Tough to grasp, difficult to simulate, problematic to conceptualize. When you sort through all of the fluff and razzmatazz, it’s simple. The oceans allow you to take that last breath you took and the coral reef environment is the most important environment in the ocean.

So you tell me, does it matter?
